Fira, Santorini Greece

Santorini’s main town of Fira is a lively and bustling spot, with its caldera edge adorned with hotels, cave apartments, infinity pools, and stylish restaurants, all set against a maze of narrow streets brimming with shops and even more bars and restaurants. The sheer number of fellow admirers doesn’t lessen the impact of Fira’s stunning landscape; it’s one of those rare places that actually looks better than the postcards! The views over the multicoloured cliffs are breathtaking, and at night, the caldera edge becomes a frozen cascade of lights. Although Fira's population is just over 2000, it stretches north and blends into two more villages: Firostefani (about a 15-minute walk from Fira) and Imerovigli (the highest point of the caldera edge, about a half-hour walk from Fira). A path runs through these villages, lined with magnificent hotels, restaurants, and endless photo opportunities.
